We are Carles and Matt, Pirinenc co-founders, mountain athletes and adventurers. We were together back in October 2013 the first people to connect the seven highest peaks of Andorra in a row, when inspiration took hold: the development of genuine mountain events in the heart of the Pyrenees, following the purity of natural, exposed ridge lines while capturing the camaraderie and skills of true mountaineers. In 2015, we set up the Els 2900 Alpine Run as the first Alpinrunning race in the world. A fantastic accomplishment, but we needed more. The difficulty, the remoteness. A deeper connection with our Pyrenean mountains. So we founded Pirinenc. Today we want to get back to the roots of Pyreneism while promoting new ways and tools to explore our mountain range.
